As Head of Sustainable Business Programs at Bloomberg L.P., Lee Ballin reports to the chairman's office and leads a team charged with aggressively integrating sustainability considerations into all operations. His team also co-develops products and services for the Bloomberg Professional Service, which helps clients evaluate sustainability market risks and opportunities. Ballin works closely with a cross-functional team conducting life-cycle analyses of customer-facing equipment, optimizing a global logistics network to minimize carbon output of shipments, and setting paper standards for three magazine publications. His communications team develops employee-engagement programs, training curriculum for operating departments, and Bloomberg's annual GRI-based sustainability report. A Fellow within the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Programs First Mover Fellowship, Ballin is also an Adjunct Professor at the Pratt Institute and a member of the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business advisory board.
